Story

Berlin (Pedro Alonso) is arguably the most fascinating character from the Money Heist gang. In the original series, he’s a terminally ill grand larcenist who comes off as a psychopath and an egocentric narcissist, but someone who also values the codes of friendship and would eventually sacrifice himself for it.

Reviews

Is this some kind of parody?

  • I have watched all seasons of Money Heist and of course that series wasn’t perfect either (thanks to Netflix), but at least there were some signs of character development, a well written story and more than just pointless cliches.
  • Berlin is a spin-off from Money Heist but honestly you can’t convince me this isn’t some kind of parody of the original series. The dialogs and the plots were probably written by some horny teenager with a porn addiction, and the acting is actually worse than in some amateur adult videos.
  • I am also sure that this website is full of bots because the episodes were all rated 9+ on the day this has released. In a real world this shouldn’t be above 5 and even that is being generous. Don’t waste your time with this, just rewatch Money Heist if you missed it.

Total garbage! Avoid

  • I was never a fan of money heists but this berlin is complete garbage. All the characters are so annoying and careless, they all lost focus. This is less of a heist series but more of supposed criminals falling in love unnecessarily without control. No single sensible or likeable character. They all lacked substance.
  • The problem is the character Berlin, he doesn’t seem to be the type to get involved with a married women let alone jeopardize the enite mission just because of love
  • At times he come across as overbearing, egotistical and narcissistic just the opposite of the Professor. He seems be a misogynist person not someone you can root for at the end of the day.
  • This was not just believable in the end.

Could have been so much better

  • I’m still struggling to understand why they picked Berlin for this spin off after how inherently evil he was in money heist. All the things he did made most people hate him so this was a peculiar choice. This show is not much different. It could have been close to money heist but it’s nowhere near as good. The show focuses more on romance between the characters than it actually does the heist. Berlin character is played well but is so annoying because he’s constantly acting like Mr perfect who can do know wrong, is a complete hypocrite and does the same things he tells the other members not to do but it’s ok if he does them. I didn’t watch this to watch a romance drama I’m not sure why that theme is so heavy throughout the entire series but it completely changes the feel of this.

Not even close

  • Do not waste your precious time on this. Not even close to money heist. Emotional breakdowns stupid decisions does not make sense at all. They keep saying mission first and then put on the stolen necklace and go off on a joy ride and lose the necklace and the girl gets emotional breakdown during the race and loses the necklace come on lol. Who does that? What sort of story writing is this?
  • The Berlin character is another cartoon come for a mission and get lost in love which he could have done after the heist but no he wants to do right in the middle of the heist. Mission what mission? What heist? No I want to fall in loveee..might as well postponed the mission for a later date and fall in love first.
  • Stupidity written all over the show!
  • Part ii never works out this is a classic example!
