Story
In 1976, Jamaica was in a tough spot because of political fights. Bob Marley, a famous singer, said he’d do a concert to bring peace. But then, some people shot him, his wife Rita, and some of his band members. They lived, but were hurt. After they got better, Bob and his band went to London to make a new album. It was called “Exodus” and became very popular.
Bob’s album was so good that he got to go on a tour in Europe and Africa. But, while he was in Africa, Bob got into fights with his wife Rita and his manager Don Taylor. He also found out he had cancer. This made Bob think about what was important in life. He decided to go back to Jamaica and sing for peace there.
When Bob got back, the person who shot him asked for forgiveness. Bob said yes, and wrote a song about peace for his wife and kids. They thought he was ready to do the peace concert. The movie ends with Bob and his band getting ready to sing the song “One Love” for the people in Jamaica. The movie also shows real clips of Bob and his band singing. It says that Bob and his band got to sing in Zimbabwe before Bob died in 1981.
