Story
In 1973, DSP Rathna Kumar is sent to catch a notorious elephant poacher named Shettani in Kombai forest. However, the police end up mistreating the local tribals who are also victims of Shettani.
In Madras, Kirubakaran is chosen as a Sub-Inspector in the Tamil Nadu Police. He goes to inform his fiancée Lourde about the news and watches her perform at an event. Later, Kirubakaran is wrongly accused of murdering four students and is sent to prison.
In 1975, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Sindhanai Rani, plans to enter national politics. Rathna’s brother Jeyakodi, a rising politician, faces opposition from Karmegam, a rival within the party. Jeyakodi asks Rathna to eliminate four gangsters supporting Karmegam, promising to help the ex-cops if they succeed.
Kirubakaran, wanting to marry Lourde and regain his job, accepts the task. He poses as a filmmaker to get close to a gangster named Caesar. Kirubakaran discovers Caesar’s connection to the tribe haunted by Shettani.
Caesar, unaware of Kirubakaran’s true identity, invites him to film a biopic in his village. Kirubakaran learns of Caesar’s involvement in the murder for which he was framed. Seeking revenge, Kirubakaran convinces Caesar to help capture Shettani.
During the operation, the truth about Shettani’s connection to the government is revealed. The villagers die in a police firing, and Caesar and Malaiyarasi are killed. Kirubakaran, Paingili, and Caesar’s child survive.
The government’s involvement is exposed through Kirubakaran’s footage. In a twist, Kirubakaran, thought to be dead, confronts Rathna and kills him. Karmegam is eliminated, and the truth about the massacre reaches the public, causing widespread protests.
In the end, Kirubakaran returns home to be with Caesar’s son, named Sethu. However, an anonymous man plans to eliminate the last members of Caesar’s family.

1.Jigarthanda Double X is an absolute MASTERPIECE, boasting a brilliant story and a marvellous screenplay by one of my favourite directors, Karthik Subbaraj. Raghava Lawrence delivers his best performance in a long time, and SJ Suryah, the ever-reliable Nadippu Arakkan, shines with top-notch acting as always. Karthik Subbaraj’s incorporation of real-life incidents, like betrayals and backstabbing towards Tamil community, is incredibly clever.
2.Jigarthanda Double X,” starring Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah, Karthik Subbaraj’s ‘Pandyaa Western’ film amalgamates the essence of the 2014 ‘Jigarthanda’ with the spirit of a spaghetti western, marking it as his most political and heartfelt work to date.

4.Jigarthanda DoubleX
Directed by Karthik subburaj is a mastercraft from a master director and crew. This is a movie in which the actors performance were overshadowed by the directors making and writing. Yes, both Raghava Lawrence and Sj Suryah’s performance is splendid as always.Especially Sj Suryah, unlike his previous films in this film we can see him as the one of the main heros and he utilised it very effiectively. Nimisha Sajayan has also did her job very well.
5.I had kept my very minimal expectations just for the fact that it looked similar to Jigar-1 during the trailer phase and Lawrence’s addition to the cast. To my surprise, K.S. nailed the story & screenplay. It is the same content from a different perspective, which has presented the importance of documentary and proven the love, passion, and obsession K.S. has on cinema.
